LECTURES
Week 3 Shooting Practise
Frame size vs Choice of lens
Lenses should be changed depending on the application, such as frame size.

Able to select various focal lengths within the lens range.
Fig.1-2: Range
Comparing differences between wide angle/ standard/ tele lenses by shooting same subject
Fig.1-3: Comparing Differences
Fig.1-4: W.S Example
Wide Shot- W.S
Shoot wide angle (18mm-30mm)
Fig.1-5: M.S Example
Medium Shot- M.S
Shoot standard angle (40mm-50mm)
Fig.1-6: M.C.U Example
Medium Close-up Shot- M.C.U
Shoot standard angle (45mm-55mm)
Headroom
Headroom refers to enough room for the subject's head. Space around their head yet not too much. Too low in the frame (too much headroom) makes them appear short. Not enough headroom makes them look tall and scrunched. Correct headroom gives the subject just enough space around their head to make them look comfortable.

Week 2 Shooting Exercise: Framing
We shoot 8 videos of the following angles.- Low angle Wide shot
- Frontal MCU (soft background)
- Frontal MS (soft background)
- Extreme Close-Up shot
- Side angle MS (soft background)
- ¾ angling MCU shot (with blurry/soft foreground)
- Close-Up shot
- Eye-Level Medium-Wide shot
Precautions- Shoot wide shot with wide angle.
- The rest ZOOM IN to get soft background.
- Refer to the examples provided or google references for GOOD composition.
- Avoid overexposed or underexposed (too bright or too dark).
- Do the shooting during day time.
- Shoot landscape format video, 5 seconds per shot.
- Edit with CAPTION (Mention the shot size), export video for submission.
On campus, we shot videos of our friends and each other.

Week 2 Premiere Pro Editing Exercise 1 Lalin
Week 3 Trimming in Premiere Pro by using Ripple Edit
Ripple edit is a useful feature that closes the gap between videos placed in a sequence.

Collect video materials.
Following the instructions, the shots list below were taken.
- Wide Shot - high angle (You, Solo)
- 3 single full body shots - eye level (You at the middle+2 of your team members)
- Medium Shot - Eye level (You)
- Medium Close-up Shot - Eye level (You)
- Close-up Shot - Eye level (You)
- Extreme Close-up Shot - Eye level (You)
- Wide Shot - Low angle (You, Solo)

Regarding the choosing of the music
This music can be reproduced "provided that all the terms and conditions of the source material used are adhered to and the name of the composer is not used".
It must specify the author essentially, but for this reason, I respect the music creator's wishes and will not name it here.
Week 4 Music Video
Fig.2-11: Premiumbeat.com
Tried editing color using Premier Pro's free presets.
- Start Premier Pro and import a preset file.
- Apply to a sequence from "Effects"
Fig.2-11: Preset File
File Name .prfpset = Preset File
This time, I decided to set up my own filter.
This is because simple effects are easier to edit.
The free presets already have complex settings installed, so applying them to all parts will harmonize the overall atmosphere.

Week 6 Editing Production Shoot Video
Fig.2-12: Marge
This video shoot was a group assignment and was conducted at University. The environments varied, including outside and inside, and the sound was recorded separately with special microphones for recording, not the camera microphones. Therefore, audio sync is required first to match the video and audio.
Fig.2-13: Combined Data
There is a function that automatically aligns the data if there is a certain degree of misalignment. If that is not enough to adjust, you will need to composite manually.

Above is the audio-synced video and the finished product with other effects, titles, etc. added.
Week 7 Color Correction & Grading
Fig.2-15: Color Wave
Premier Pro can edit color. Although you can edit the video directly, it is convenient to use an adjustment layer to facilitate later editing.

Week 11 Color Correction & Grading (In-class Lecture)
Fig.2-18: Original
A more detailed explanation of color correction was given in the Week 11 class. The figure above is the original video data. The waveforms show blue as strong and red as weak.
Fig.2-19: After Color Correction
The colors are now balanced. This is color-neutral, from which effects and other elements can be added to even out and unify the overall atmosphere.
Fig.2-20: Added Blue
There are multiple ways to edit color, but it's recommended using curves among them.
Fig.2-21: Color Editing Using Curves
Fig.2-22: Add Multiple Colors
Multiple color filters can be added by setting the highlights and shadows to different colors. The colors to be selected should be especially complementary related (more obvious). This can create a unique atmosphere in the video.

REFLECTIONS
ExperiencesIn this Project 2, we learned more practical methods in video production. From how to use the equipment for filming to how to edit with software, I felt that I learned a whole range of things that will be helpful to me when I produce videos in the future.
Observation
I had never really thought about the angle of view when watching movies. When I finished the class and watched movies and dramas, I discovered once again that they use angles effectively. It was interesting to learn that video works are created with consideration for viewer comprehensibility in even the most casual aspects, such as the unification of the direction of screen transitions, for example.
Findings
I was really impressed by the established methods for video production such as these. I feel the history that since the development of recording equipment, various films have been made and brushed up little by little.
