1. South Park

My favorite stop-motion animation is the American anime "South Park" created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. This is often controversial, with many episodes dealing with taboo subjects such as religion, principles, and crime. One of the creators, Trey Parker, majored in Japanese in college, has an ex-wife of Japanese descent, and has lived in Japan. Therefore, it was really interesting to me that a lot of his knowledge about Japan influenced his work (not only positive expressions, bad side too). Overall, the story is sarcastic.
2. Crayon Shin-chan (Movie Opening)

A new Crayon Shin-chan movie is produced every year, and the opening is traditionally a stop-motion animation using clay. The unconnected storyline unfolds to the rhythm of the music, seamlessly transforming the clay characters to other characters.
3. tomosteen (Stop motion artist / youtuber)

He is a youtuber who posts stop-motion animations utilizing Lego bricks and other inorganic materials. My favorite is this cat video. It starts off with a boring atmosphere, but when a stage appears in the center from the middle of the video, various animals gather and start dancing. The video development from that point on is, the camera angles giving the video a dynamic feel that keeps the viewer on their toes.

As per the proposal, take a series of photos for each scene. Since this is a clay anime, the movement is expressed by moving the character slightly in each frame.

Photos of the scenes I have shot, should be organized in folders for each scene. This will make it easier when converting still images to video later.

For the draft, suggestions below are given.
- Cute footstep sound
- Climbing up towel sound
- Burning sound effects
- Warmer color filter

In the 1st draft, the warm and cold colors were applianced to the highlights and shadows, but this time both were adjusted to warm colors.

In response, further feedback was given.
- Sound effects: grabbing the sachet of quick oat
- Personify main character: frustrated/disappointed voice
- Personify main character: finally climb to the top cheering voice
- Personify main character: screaming voice
Then, after adjusting the volume of the overall SE, etc., the following final outcome was completed.

REFLECTIONS
ExperiencesFor this final project, we used various software such as Premiere Pro as the main editing software, Audition for SE creation, After Effects for converting photos to video, etc., and also used our own photographic equipment, thus summarizing what we learned in this module.
Observation
The most important fact that I noticed after it was finished was that the camera focus was different for each shot during the shooting phase. It makes them not look as if they are moving smoothly and detracts a bit from the professional look of the quality. In addition, a minor angle of view discrepancy is observed, which may be due to the force used to press the shutter button. Next time if I make a stop-motion film, I need to care the shooting phase. Set stable lighting, hold the camera tightly and not to change focus.
Findings
Until now, I have avoided using After Effects because it is too difficult for me. However, for this assignment, I had to make a series of photos into a video, an area in which Premiere Pro is not very good at. In fact, I tried to complete the entire project in Premiere Pro. However, I also understood why After Effects was better suited for this type of situation.
